Safety

Safety first always at Quay Aesthetics

Covid-19

Due to the ongoing risk of community transmission of coronavirus, Quay Aesthetics is following all mandated government legislation as well as current health recommendations to stop the spread of this virus and keep everyone safe.

We ask that patients who are feeling unwell, experiencing fevers, cough, sore throat, taste loss or any respiratory symptom; or who have had recent contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19, or been to an identified COVID hotspot cancel their appointment.

We ask that you do not rebook for at least 2 weeks and only if you have had a negative COVID-19 test AND all symptoms have resolved.

Quay Aesthetics practitioners will follow all recommended infection control practices to keep themselves and our patients as safe as possible. Practitioners will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face mask, eyewear and gloves.* Hand sanitiser is available for patients on arrival and you are encouraged to use this before leaving also.

All equipment used to administer treatments is disposable and any hard surfaces will be cleaned appropriately between each patient.

Due to physical distancing and our limited space, children and friends will not be permitted in the clinic during your appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and continued patience during this time.

Patients who have received or are planning a COVID-19 vaccination are advised that cosmetic injectable treatments are not advised for a minimum period of 4 weeks after.

Other Safety Information

Quay Aesthetics practitioners value your safety above everything else. Please be open and honest with us when we ask you about your health history. All information is completely confidential and only used to determine if these treatments are suitable for you.

We will not treat any patient who is pregnant or trying to conceive, or who is breast feeding as there is no evidence that proves these treatments are 100% safe for your developing baby.

If you have an infection anywhere in your body (no matter how insignificant it may seem), please advise your practitioner before treatment. An active infection can easily spread within the body and we want to make sure that we keep the chance of a complication as small as possible.

If you are a smoker and you wish to have a treatment with dermal fillers, fat dissolver or collagen stimulator, our practitioners will insist that you do not smoke for at least 2 days after your treatment to reduce the chance of infection and increase the body’s ability to heal itself. If you do not promise to not smoke, we reserve the right to not administer your treatment.

If we decide for any reason that a treatment is inappropriate or unsafe for you, we will explain why and we reserve the right to NOT administer that treatment. Our decision will be final in those instances.
